Katie and Steve were married on Oct 17 at the Atlantic Resort in Middletown, RI. They met at University of Connecticut and are die-hard UCONN fans! When we met, Katie had wanted her wedding to be nontraditional. Sharing the first look and mingling with their guests during cocktail hour was on their must have list.
Her simple details.
Katie was so happy to have these girls by her side, especially her mom and sisters helping with the moment every girl dreams of. Her vail was made by one of her sisters and has Katie is the next bride in the family to wear it.
The grooms details.
The first look!
Wedding party and family pictures were taken before the ceremony. Katie and Steve wanted to enjoy their cocktail hour festivities with their guest as much as possible. I love all the different colors and textures of the bridesmaid's dresses.
The weather perfect for this outdoor ceremony in mid-October.
Because of the Indian summer weather we were having, Katie incorporated a bit of summer and fall into the decor. What a great balance of blue hydrangeas and white pumpkins!
The laughter and buzz coming from foyer was infectious! These guests could not wait to get this party started!
Halfway through the bride and groom's first dance, the guests came up to join them on the dance floor.
As much as Katie and Steve loved their guest's and were grateful they were able to celebrate wit them on their wedding day, I somehow managed to whisk them away for a couple of minutes for some night photos!
Katie and Steve, it was an honor to document your day! Thank you for letting me be a part of it. I wish you everything in life that is nothing short of amazing.
