When someone I know asks me to photograph their family, or a major milestone in their life, it is not only an honor to be chosen but nerve wracking for me. You know them on a personal level, members of their family, friends they hang with, etc. Photographers never want to let their clients down, let alone someone they know, who has given you the honor to document one of their most important day of their lives. To me, the expectations seem higher. Who would want to disappoint their friend? When Kris and Renee were looking for a photographer, Renee reached out to me. After speaking to her, I knew they were a great for each other.
Renee ws so happy to have these girls by her side, especially her mom and BFF to help with the moment every girl dreams of.
Perfect for lipstick and those tissues, no wedding dress is complete without pockets nowadays. Either way, Renee was stunning in this dress.
This was such and emotional first look with dad, there was not a dry eye in the room! Including mine.
The groom and the groomsmen that helped Kris with his pre wedding jitters.
Renee and Kris were married at Mt. Carmel Church in Bristol, RI. The church was packed with guests. Kris and Renee locked eyes from the moment they saw each other from across the aisle. I think their eyes will stay that way forever.
One of my favorite things about their wedding is they allotted time for photos immediately after the ceremony so they could attend cocktail hour to mingle their guests. Their photos and ceremony were held at DeWolf Tavern in Bristol, RI. Their new waterfront tent is quite unique for any event.
Their nautical themed wedding tied in perfectly with the view!
It's party time!
As much as Renee and Kris loved their guests and were grateful to celebrate with them, I somehow managed to whisk them away for a few night photos.
Kris and Renee, it was a privilege to capture your wedding day. Thank you! Best wishes on a new journey as you begin your lives together. May the years ahead be filled with lasting joy.
